PRODUCT DESIGN
In my first year of film school, I produced the film “Hyphen” with our class, which we entered into our school-wide competition. We ended up winning first prize.
Since I designed and animated everything in “Hyphen” myself, I did not realize that what I was doing was essentially UI/UX design. After “Hyphen”, I continued to create several films and animated infographics infused with UI/UX.
Gladly, it eventually led me to where I am today, and filmmaking continues to be a skill I am constantly honing and experimenting with.

Hyphen is a smart bracelet that uses augmented reality to help you navigate through your life with a robust library of apps. The film follows a group of friends as they use Hyphen to prepare for a birthday party.
For Lexus’ nationwide creative competition, we pitched the Rolling Taiwan Project with this ad campaign - A road trip across the states to showcase Taiwanese culture. In the end, we made it into national top 10.
This film illustrates the history of television, from analog to digital, and the trend toward the transition to online media. It is one of the first animated infographics in Taiwan, produced by Insight Xplorer.
I explored a different approach in this trailer recut as my final project for advanced film editing class. I incorporated sound design to include Foster The People’s Pumped Up Kicks, adding an extra layer to the narrative of the story.
I worked with MSL GROUP to produce this film showcasing the results of a marketing campaign by Oral-B. I wrote the script based on provided statistics, shot footage and designed all things on screen.
